My idea is that there could be possible special events / quests to keep adventurous players entertained on the server, such as myself. Here is a list of possible events & quests:
Mock Sieges
-Use a pretend base for players to siege or defend
-Players can either be split up into Good vs Evil or Team Captains
-Players will use faction armor
-No brews
-No troops
How It Works
Basically, it would be two teams facing off in a best of 3/5/7 with each team alternating defending and attack sides. The attacking team would try to enter the base, kill all the defenders, or reach a certain point in the base and hold it from the defenders. The defenders would try to guard the base from the attackers and eliminate the attackers or force them to retreat. If the attackers successfully meet one or both of the objectives, they would win a round. Likewise, if the defenders successfully meet one or both of the objectives, they would win a round. At the end of the siege, the winning team would get a prize, which can be decided on by the admins.
Building Contests
This one is pretty straightforward. There could be a theme, or it could just be a freestyle build. There is a timer in which the builders have to be finished(15 min, 30 min, 1 hr), and the builders would be judged on the quality of their build. The winner and possibly the runner-ups could get a prize for winning, possibly GMC for a day. This event would be helpful in showing player's talent and exposing player's work to the community on the server.
Quests
In quests, players would have to fight through dungeons and follow roleplay. Some examples of quests could be a journey through Mordor, trying to assassinate a highly ranked orc chieftain. There could be some restrictions on certain quests, like having to have a certain amount of alignment for a High Elf-based quest. Inside of the quests could be custom loot or money. These will add a lot of more fun to the server in my opinion, because of all of the adventure.
PvP Tournaments
This one is also pretty straight forward. This could be hosted by a player, or by staff. There could be a tournament, much like real ones, to see whom is the best at PvP on the server. There could be an entrance fee of 100 coins, or it could be free. The tournament would include 12 participants, going in a bracket style of best of 3 duels.
